The Word Clock is built with a simple principle: your time is yours. We don't collect personal data, we don't serve ads, and we don't use tracking cookies. This policy explains exactly what happens — and what doesn't — when you use our products.

The Web App
The Word Clock web app (thewordclock.app) does not use cookies. Your settings — such as font, colors, and display size — are stored locally in your browser using localStorage. This data never leaves your device.
There are no ads, no user accounts, and no third-party tracking scripts. The app works offline once loaded.
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to collect basic, anonymous usage statistics — such as page views and general device type. This helps us understand how the app is used and improve it. No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics.
The Chrome Extension
The Word Clock Chrome extension uses chrome.storage.local to save your language preference. This data is stored entirely on your device and is never transmitted to any server.
The extension does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. It requires no account and has no analytics.
The Frame Notification Form
If you sign up to be notified about The Word Clock Frame, we collect your name and email address. This information is used solely to notify you when the product launches.
The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile CAPTCHA to prevent spam. We do not share your information with third parties or use it for marketing beyond the product launch notification.
Contact Form
Our contact form collects your name, email address, phone number (optional), and message. This information is used only to respond to your inquiry. We do not add you to any mailing list or share your details with third parties.
Google Fonts
The Word Clock loads typefaces from Google Fonts. When you visit the site, your browser makes a standard request to Google's servers to download font files. Google may log this request as described in their privacy policy. No additional data is shared with Google by our app.
What We Don't Do
We do not use third-party advertising. We do not build user profiles. We do not sell or share data. We do not use fingerprinting or any form of cross-site tracking. There are no hidden pixels, no remarketing tags, and no social media trackers on this site.
